Developing a child protection policy for your organisation can be a significant undertaking and takes considerable time and commitment to work through.  There are a number of areas which need to be covered to ensure your organisation is safe for children.

If you have started working through the Childsafe Guide for Organisations and are having some difficulty there are a number of options available to you:

• The first thing we would suggest is to read and print the section called How to use this Guide.  This section steps you through this resource and explains what each step involves and why it is important.
  
  
• If you are having specific difficulties or have some questions about parts of the Childsafe Guide, you can contact Child Matters on 07 838 3370 for some advice and help.
  
  
• If you believe you do not have the expertise, resources or time to complete the Childsafe Guide process, Child Matters has a number of services available to support you in developing your child protection policies:
• You can contract our policy experts to do the entire process for you from consulting within your organisation to implementing and reviewing your policy.
• Alternatively our policy experts can work with you on an hourly basis to support you in the areas where you are having difficulty or need expertise.
