Summary:
Any issues of suspected child abuse must be taken seriously and handled in an appropriate manner that ensures the child’s safety.
The Designated Person for Child Protection is responsible for ensuring that the procedure for reporting child abuse is effective and timely. If a member of staff has a child protection concern then they must inform the Designated Person as soon as possible. It should be considered whether a specific form is used, printed on coloured paper, so that concerns can be identified easily.
