Child Matters works at a local and national level developing campaigns and sharing information to mobilise our communities to take responsibility for the safety of children

Working for Change

Whilst we can all do things at an individual and organisational level to protect children, it is through utilising vital local and national networks that we can truly shape the future for our children.

Child Matters seek to influence and mobilise key policy makers to campaign for changes to legislation, policy and practice to ensure they best protect children.

Child Matters has representatives on numerous key committees.  At a government level we build relationships with MP’s.

Of particular focus for Child Matters is

• ensuring children's rights to a safe and nurturing upbringing are protected
• making child protection training is mandatory for all who work with children
