Working Together for Vulnerable Kids
Seminars in partnership with Oranga Tamariki
The 1-day Working Together for Vulnerable Kids Seminars are run in partnership with and are funded by Oranga Tamariki – Ministry for Children. They are delivered by Childs Matters staff and include guest speakers from Oranga Tamariki.
These seminars serve a dual purpose:
- To create a child protection network in every community
- To explore the current landscape of child protection, what defines a vulnerable child, and the role each person has in child protection.
These seminars provide a great foundation in how we can work together to keep children and young people safe. They are designed for professionals working with children, including teachers, health workers, and social service providers.
Seminars are run from 9am – 3pm and are fully funded by Oranga Tamariki – Ministry for Children, therefore there is no charge for participants. Morning tea and lunch are provided.
