The role of the Designated Person for Child Protection is critical in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of tamariki and rangatahi within any organisation. Designated People are the go-to experts for child protection within their organisations.

The Designated Person is responsible for overseeing child protection concerns and is the main point of contact for other kaimahi within their organisation.  This person may also be known as a child protection lead, child protection coordinator, or safeguarding lead. Child Matters equips you with specialist knowledge, resources, tools, and confidence to lead effective responses to concerns, support your colleagues, and maintain robust systems.
